CASSIDA FM HEAT TRANSFER FLUID 32 —Heat transfer fluid for use in the food manufacturing industry.
NSF has approved (Class HT1) and certified it for ISO 21469 when accidental food contact occurs. It is manufactured in compliance with FLT Quality Standards in establishments that have adopted HACCP audits, Good Manufacturing Practices, and the quality and hygiene management systems ISO 9001 and ISO 21469.
Features of Performance
- Wide temperature range for application
- High temperature and oxidation stability
- Neutral odour and taste
Applications
- Heat transfer systems where the oil film temperature (the surface temperature of the heating elements) should not be higher than +340 °C and where the bulk oil temperature ranges from roughly -10 °C to a maximum of +325 °C
General Instructions
Reynolds-Number should be >10,000 (ten thousand). Care should be taken to maintain sufficient flow rate to prevent even a brief overheating of the CASSIDA FM HEAT TRANSFER FLUID 32. This is especially crucial when the heating system is turning on and off. The heating elements’ surface temperature, also known as the film temperature, must not rise above +340 °C. Please get in touch with your local partner for information on the physical characteristics of the oil, such as density, specific heat, and coefficient of thermal conductivity, that are required to calculate the heat transfer coefficient in the system. Regular oil monitoring is advised to guarantee maximum lifespan.
Seal and Paint Compatibility
Compatible with paints, gaskets, elastomers, and seals commonly utilized in lubricating systems for the food industry.
Handling and Storage
Food-grade lubricants must be kept out of direct sunlight and other heat sources and away from other lubricants, chemicals, and food items. They must be stored in the range of 0 to +40 °C. If the product has been stored under these conditions, we advise using it within five years of the date of production. The product must be used within two years of opening its packaging (or within five years of the date of manufacturing, whichever is sooner).
